Janet Lee Cornwell

    Janet Lee Cornwell passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2022, at the age of 66.  Janet was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 8, 1956 to parents, Charles and Retha (Whited) Bertram.  Janet was a graduate of Franklin Central High School and worked as a Budget and Portfolio Analyst with Anthem, where she has worked for 38 years.

    Janet loved spending time with her beloved family.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  She loved gambling- especially trying her luck at the slots in Shelbyville and playing Bingo.

    Janet is survived by her children: Chad Clouse (Shelli), Jeremy Clouse (Jaime Fogle), Rachel Johnson (Christopher), Anthony “Tony” Clouse (Tina Rutherford) and Candice Ellis (Kyle); grandchildren: Brandon, Kalina, Mackenzee, Jeremy Jr, Briana, Madison, Christopher II, Abigail, Lilianna, Mercedez and Zayden; great-grandchildren, Brixlee and Lyndon; and sister, Peggy Hicks.

    Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Retha Bertram and two brothers, Joe Bertram and David Bertram.

    Friends may call from 3pm until 7pm, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, where funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday May 23, 2022. Burial will follow services in New Crown Cemetery.
