Janet Kay (Oney) Tomlinson

Janet Kay (Oney) Tomlinson, 77, of Carmel, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.  Janet was born March 25, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Clyde L. and Georgia P. Oney.  After attending Pittsburg State University in Kansas, she later graduated from Ball State University.

Before retirement, Janet worked at the Carmel-Clay Public Library in circulation, a job she loved. She was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling. One of her favorite activities was cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Valerie Williams and Kathy (husband, Jason) Stecher; grandchildren Andrew Stecher, Max Stecher, Dylan Zenor, Kate Stecher and Colin Williams; sister, Patricia Poppoff and brother-in-law, Chris Poppoff.

Due to present circumstances, a private family service will be held.
