Jane Ann Moore

Jane Ann Moore, 86, went on to her coronation ceremony in Heaven on October 23, 2024, in Brownsburg, Indiana. She was born on September 2, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Thomas H. and Dorothy Bernhardt. Jane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Jane graduated from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught school for several years at Park Tudor School. However, Jane dedicated most of her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. She spent countless hours at the beach, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, in the boat and at various lakes supporting her boys and encouraging them in whatever activity they pursued. She found joy in playing bridge with friends, spending summers at the lake, and engaging in various outdoor activities such as water skiing, fishing, tennis, and golf. It was at Webster Lake where she met the love of her life, John, with whom she shared fifty-five years of happiness and countless adventures.

Jane lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She loved spending time with her family and loved having her children and grandchildren around. 

Jane is survived by her husband, John; her sons, David Moore (Lisa) and his children Nolan Moore, Lindsey (Cole) Owen-Turner (nee Moore), and Collin Moore; and Steve Moore (Shelly) and his children, Garrett Moore and Carter Moore. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

 A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, from 1 pm to 2 pm, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2 pm, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2702 Kessler Blvd W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228. Jane’s Final Resting Place will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
