Jane Maureen Jakupco

Our precious mother, Jane Maureen (Kelly) Jakupco, 91, passed away on December 14, 2022.  She was born on November 4, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan to Vincent and Margaret (Carey) Kelly.

Maureen married the love of her life, John and celebrated 60 years together. They enjoyed traveling the world together.

Maureen is survived by her children: John M. (JoAnna), Ann (James) Duncan, Jane, Margie (Deacon Chris) Bock; daughter -in-law Trish; grandchildren Kaelyn Bock; John and Bradley Jakupco; Austin, Morgan, and Logan Schneider; Father Matt and Nick Jakupco; and several nieces and nephews including her sister’s daughters Susan (Barancek) McMullen and Sharon (Barancek) Michels.

Maureen is preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, son Richard J.; son-in-law, Michael Schneider; and sister, Patricia (Kelly) Barancek.

Maureen was a loving mother and grandmother who took joy in spending time with her family.  She volunteered her time and talents in many ways around her community such as Girl Scouts, local hospitals and schools.  Maureen had the pleasure of working as a kindergarten assistant at Peter Rabbit School for many years.  Maureen was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana. She will be missed deeply by family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10566 Haverstick Road.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana Seminarian Fund.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
