Jane King

Jane King, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018.

She was born on November 9, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late Robert L. and Lois (Hunter) Goodwin.  Jane was a 1955 graduate of Howe High School.  She was active in Job’s Daughters and O.E.S when she was younger, and later in life developed a passion for all things miniature.  She was a member of N.A.M.E. (National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts) and was the owner of Jane King Miniatures.  She was nationally recognized for her candy and food miniature replicas.  Jane was also proud to be knowledgeable and current about politics.  However, her greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother.  She loved to attend her grandchildren’s activities and support them in all their endeavors.

Jane is survived by her children, Kimberly King-Eggman, Bridgett (Phil) Brindley, Kevin Glen (Kathy) King; grandchildren, Jill Ann Eggman, Eric Brindley, Colin Brindley, Bri Brindley, Lilly King, Kevin King, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Kaley Savage, Eli and Ella Brindley. Jane is also survived by her sister, Suzy (Bob) Spencer.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diane Goodwin; and loving husband of nearly 50 years, Glen King.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10am – 2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with funeral services immediately following at 2pm.  Burial will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
