Jane Ann Schneider

Jane Ann Pickett Hohenberger Schneider, 87, lifelong resident of Indianapolis entered eternal rest on September 6, 2018.

She was born August 1, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Carlton Vernon and Iva Izella Whitmore Pickett.  She attended Tech High School. She retired in 1997 after over 20 years as an executive secretary at Hooks Drugs. She was a founding member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and donated much of her time helping build the church community. With a love for cats, she was especially fond of her cat Reginald Eugene II. She was an avid sports fan especially IU, the Pacers, and the Colts. She was also a talented quilter and seamstress even sewing clothing and quilts for her family. Her greatest joy was dancing with her late husband John to the square dance caller Johnnie Wykoff. They are now dancing together forever.

Jane was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Eugene Hohenberger and her husband of 35 years John Kenneth Schneider.

Jane is survived by her children Cynthia Corbin (Dave), Julia Lynn Courchaine (Steve), Andrew Hohenberger (Doris), and Carolyn Ann Randall (John); grandchildren Cody, Travis, Brett, Barett, Bryentt, Katie, Bartt, Jymmer, Kyle, Jason and Danielle; and great-grandchildren Izabelle, Jacob, Matthew, David, Madison, Ryder, Shaylee, Arianna Rose, Harry, Michael, Scarlett, Chloe, Isabel, Eloise, Ava Grace, Kendyl, and Carson.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 10 from 12 to 2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 2 PM.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
