Jan M. Smith

Jan Mack Smith, 89, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on December 20, 2020 in Zionsville, IN. He was born in Richmond, IN on May 1, 1931. Over his 89 years of life he was an engineer with a passion for designing airplane engines. He was also the track photographer for Perfect Circle Pistons in the 1950’s. He is survived by his daughters Sue and Stacia (Steve), son Jason, and beloved five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and brother Tom. He was preceded in death by his son Steve and brother Jerry. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Zionsville American Legion Post 79 on December 30, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Zionsville American Legion Post 79.
