James T. Adams

James Thomas Adams, 68, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 6, 2021.  James was born in Chicago, IL on November 4, 1952 the son of George Wesley and Mary Lou (Thompson) Adams.  He graduated from Howe High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Hanover College. During his career, James worked as a salesman in the incentives industry and owner of Performance Strategies, Inc. (PSI) for 29 years.

James was a member of SITE, IRF, and Friends of Bill W.  He had a life-long passion for traveling and was a huge foodie, visiting over 100 stops showcased on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.  James was excited to be planning Howe’s 50-year class reunion.  He also enjoyed golfing with the “Boyfriends Club”.

James never met a stranger, and it was his life’s mission to help others.  He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 45-years, Carol L. (Welsheimer) Adams; daughters, Lindsay Adams (Joshua Survance) and Shelby Adams (Logan Rickman); sister, Sharon Adams of San Diego, CA; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Friends may call from 4pm – 8pm, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 and from 10am – 12 Noon, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.  Funeral services will follow Wednesday’s calling beginning at 12 Noon.  Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Intergroup, 2320 S. Tibbs Ave., Suite C, Indianapolis, IN 46241, which was an important part of Jim’s life for 32 years.
