After a year long battle of pancreatic cancer, James R Lynn was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was surrounded by his family and welcomed into Heaven by his loving parents. He was born on June 29, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Harding and Virginia Dean (Slayton) Lynn.
After 30 years of employment, he retired from RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics in 1998. While working full-time Jim pursued other entrepreneurial endeavors including several businesses; Rolyno’s Pizza, Nashville Country Club, Carson’s Pub, and maintaining a farm in Bethpage, Tennessee.
His life’s philosophy was work hard, play hard. Most important to him was his family. Jim was happiest when he was spending time with them, whether it be vacationing or just hanging out together.
While he was blessed to find his church home at Evangel Christian Church in Greenfield, Indiana; he often attended Church 52 of Indianapolis, Indiana to worship with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Hope (Hulse) Lynn; daughters, Rhonda (Todd) Williamson, Deana (Chris) Isaacs, Jamie (August) Kalb; grandchildren, Cory Long, Colton Williamson, Tristin Williamson and Malia Isaacs. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Brown and Marcella Mandrell; a niece, several nephews; and beloved canine companion, Graci.
