James R. Lewis

James R. Lewis of Indianapolis died on December 22, 2020 at the age of 76.

He was born May 31, 1944 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Francis Pauline Roller and James Herschel Lewis.

As a private investigator for many years, James was the owner of JR Lewis Contracting. He had many hobbies including putt putt golf, bingo, camping, celebrating the holidays, going to the movies, and vacations with his family.

He is survived by his children Ronald L. Wilson (Jennifer Marie), Gwendolyn M. Troxell, and Shelley L. Day; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia I. Lewis and brother Danny Lewis.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 30 from 10 AM to 12 PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 12 PM.  He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
