James Paul Walter

James P. Walter (Jim) was born November 17, 1937 in Kokomo, IN and died August 31, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. All who knew him loved his stories.

Survived by daughters, Jennifer Norman (David) and Jody Miller (Gary); grandchildren, Alyssa Ryba, Nick Miller (Diana), Erin Miller, Jeffrey Miller; and great-granddaughter, Genevieve Miller.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Walter; and his granddaughter, Adrienne Ryba.

A graduate of Ball State University, Jim served the Eastside of Indianapolis with his Public Accounting Practice for many years.

Jim was an avid and accomplished golfer, having played on the teams at Warren Central High School and Ball State University. Six times Jim shot a hole-in-one, two of those achievements came after his 70^th birthday.

Jim also enjoyed fishing and playing poker. He spent many winters with his friends in Harbor Oaks, Leesburg, FL pursuing these hobbies.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 11am-1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with a funeral service immediately.  Jim will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
