James P. "Jim" Jackson

James P. (Jim) Jackson 62,  passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jim was born May 2, 1955 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Rita Jackson. He was a 1973 graduate of Manual H.S. He retired from Eli Lilly & Co. after 30 years of service. Jim was an avid Indycar fan and in particular the Indianapolis 500 race, where he was a member of the the Indianapolis 500 Fan Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed his monthly poker extravaganza, along with playing poker with his family.  He also enjoyed fishing, traveling and reading about history, gardening and outdoor living. He is survived by his wife, Sherri Jackson; step sons, Tony and Josh; step grandchildren, Devon, Anthony, Arianna, Austin and Bryce, he absolutely adored his grandkids; sister, Carole (Juan) Rios; brothers, Mike, Paul (Sandy), David (Debbie) Jackson, along with many nieces and nephews and beloved friends. Jim was preceded in death by  his sister, Jean Kuhn and brother, Bill Jackson.
