James Malcom Walden, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 28, 2019. He was born June 10, 1930 in Forest, Illinois to John “Tom” and Nova Walden.
Though born in Illinois, James was a cattle driver in Tennessee and Kentucky before finally planting his roots in Indiana with his wife, Lenola. They spent many beautiful years raising their sons Garry and Rick and remained very much in love at the time of Lenola’s passing on May 10, 2008. He worked 30 years for Ford Motor Company, retiring as a fork lift driver in 1990. He was a very simple man; he loved fishing and was hard as nails, remaining stubborn to the very end. His passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet him; he was truly one of a kind.
James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lenola; sons, Larry Don and Ray Bennet; brother, Ronald; sister, Lena. Surviving to cherish his memory are sons, Garry (Kathy) Walden and Rick (Glenda) Walden; siblings, John, Don, Billy, David, Danny, Bobby, Oneal, and Wanda; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
