James L. Wilham passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born June 27, 1944 in Indianapolis, In. He was a graduate of Washington High School.
Lieutenant Wilham was an Indianapolis Firefighter, appointed August of 1966 and retired from Station 33 on September 2, 1992. He was a member of Indianapolis Firefighters Union Local #416, Masonic Lodge #669, Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite, and member of the Murat Shrine. He was also a member of Westview Baptist Church and attended Emmanuel Church in Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Lida Wilham; brothers, Jake Wilham, Kenny Wilham, Ralph (Doc) Wilham; and sister, Kate (Wilham) Hollensbe.
Survivors: sisters, Evelyn (Wilham) Mason and Betty (Wilham) Slinker; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan—Floral Park, 425 N Holt Rd. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. James will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in James' memory to Westview Baptist Church.
