James L. Cook

James L. Cook, 85, of Noblesville passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was born on July 7, 1937, in Mason, West Virginia to the late Victor and Mary (Roush) Cook.  He married his childhood sweetheart, Joyce L. Byus.  She preceded him in passing on August 1, 2019, after 61 years of marriage.

He retired from Civil Service as a Physics Engineer.  He loved to work in his garden, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Teri Cook, James (Audrey) Cook, and Lisa (Michael) Taylor; grandchildren, Erika (Anthony) Tipton, Adam Taylor, Lindsey (Rick) Posey, Ashley Taylor, Jason (Lisa) Taylor, and Alyssa (Brandon) Pettiford; and greatgrandchildren, Austin Tipton, Landen Tipton, Holden Posey, Jordyn Taylor, Emma Tipton, and Nicholas Taylor.  He was preceded in passing by siblings, Helen Staats, Mary Howe, Victor Cook, Jr., Elda Glaser, and William (David) Cook.

A private family service is planned.  In memory of James, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.
