James Julian Lawrence

James Julian Lawrence, “Jimmy”, 94, of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 in Westfield, Indiana. Jimmy was born on September 29, 1927 in Frankfort, KY to Earl and Ethyl Lawrence. Jimmy graduated from Shortridge High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Emma Jean (nee Bowman); son, James Dennis (Kathleen); daughter, Pamela Jean Collins (Tom); two grandchildren, Jordan Majeed (Latif) and Blake Collins (Ashley); and two great grandchildren. Jimmy is also survived by his brother, Douglas; and sisters Caroline Hodgin and Debra Blankenhorn.

Friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple (1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis), where funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 1pm. Entombment will follow services at Crown Hill Cemetery.
