James “Jim” E. Elliott 66 of Monrovia passed away January 05, 2019. Jim was born on March 12, 1952, in Indianapolis to Edward Edwin and Helen Louise (Melton) Elliott. Jim was a graduate from Washington High School. Jim was an electrician by profession and a member of the Local IBEW. Jim was also affectionately known as Mr. MacGyver when it came to fixing things or getting things to work. He was also an auctioneer and a jeweler. Jim was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. Calling will be held on Wednesday January 09, 2019, at Flanner Buchanan-Decatur form 4 to 8 pm. Additional calling will be held on Thursday Jan 10, 2019, from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Jim is survived by his wife; Tonya Lynette (Lee) Elliott who he married on April 05, 1992. He is also survived by his children; Braden (Jennifer) Elliott, Jessica (Shawn) Ford, Jennifer Elliott and Heather Elliott- Whitaker and his grandchildren; Mariah Elliott, Braden Elliott Jr, Tydon Truelove, Jaylah Ford, Kaden Elliott, Payton Elliott, Koy Whitaker, Tylah Nolan and Broc Whitaker and his sister Susy (the late Ronald) Capps.
