James "Jim" Allen Leigh

James “Jim” Allen Leigh, 86, went to be with Jesus on December 5, 2018.
Jim was born to James Clarence and Helen Allen (Harper) Leigh, in East St. Louis, IL on April 25, 1932. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Mary Leigh Pease, brother-in-law Denny Pease and a niece and nephew. He graduated from Trinity College in 1954 and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1956. He married Florence Kraabel in Decatur, IL, in 1956. He worked in business finance for many years.
Jim was dedicated to Bible study and his family and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence; his son, David (Angela); his daughter, Jane Taylor (Rick); his grandchildren, Chris Taylor Spurgeon (Jeramy), Mark Taylor (Megan), Rachel Leigh, Noelle Leigh, Olivia Leigh; and great-grandchildren, Elora and Charlotte Spurgeon.
The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of the Robin Run Memory Care Unit for their exceptional care and kindness to Jim.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11:00 a.m-1:00 p.m at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Rock Christian Church 2020 N.
