James F Burdett

James Furman Burdett 90 of Indianapolis passed away May 30, 2019.  Jim was born on October 09, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to Hurlie Eldrige and Gertrude (Miller) Burdett.  Jim retired in 1988 as a packer for Remy a Division of both Allison’s and General Motors Corporation where he devoted his time and hard work for 19 years and 7 months.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents; Hurlie and Gertrude Burdett, and his sister; Erma Burdett.  Calling will be held on Tuesday June 04, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.  Pastor John Main and Pastor Richard Burdett will preside.  Jim is survived by his loving wife Edna Rose (Palmer) Burdett, his three wonderful children; Shirley (Doyle) Hall, and Dennis and David Burdett, four grandchildren; Carrie Rollins, Natalie Markin-Burdett, Kristine Villegas-Burdett, and Matthew Nowak and six great grandchildren and his siblings Darlene Rumple and Donald (Joann) Burdett and Pastor Richard (Shelia) Burdett.  Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.  Online condolences and a video tribute may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com
