James Edward Noonan, Jr.

James Edward Noonan, Jr., 70, Indianapolis, passed away May 3, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis to James Edward Noonan, Sr. and June Ellen Noonan. He was raised in Frankfort, Indiana, graduating from Frankfort High School in 1967. Like many of his generation, he served in the U.S. Army, including deployment to Vietnam. After his military service, he began his college studies at Ball State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology followed by a Masters in Accounting. He met his wife, the former Tina Gruenloh, while both were students at Ball State. They wed in 1973, and have been happily married for over 46 years. They were blessed with a son in 1989.
Jim spent his professional career as an accountant for the Indiana Farm Bureau Co-op system; first at the Putnam County Co-op in Greencastle, then at the Ripley County Co-op in Osgood, and finally at the Hamilton County Co-op in Noblesville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his wife Tina, and son Andrew.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Private services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
