Jaime Michael Schindler, 41 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a battle with brain cancer.

He was born on August 18, 1980 in Bluffton, Indiana to Thomas G. and Debbi D. (Butler) Schindler.

Jaime was a 1999 graduate of Bellmont High School in Decatur, Indiana. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Indiana University in 2005. He started his career with Advanced Testing Laboratories working in collaboration with Eli Lilly, where his title progressed to Operations Manager. He was a loyal employee for more than 15 years.

He was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Indiana Hoosiers. He cherished attending the Indy 500, tailgating at IU, and visiting Wrigley Field. Most of all he enjoyed entertaining his loved ones at home and preparing meals on his smoker.

Jaime’s greatest attributes include a great sense of humor with his one-liners, quick wit, and ability to bring levity to any situation. He was fun loving, light-hearted, forgiving,honest, and extremely loyal. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Jaime is survived by his loving wife Lauren Valerie Schindler; parents Thomas G. and Debbi Schindler; brother Bryan D. Schindler (Carolyn) and sister Julia A. Schindler; father-in-law Jeffrey Little; brother-in-law Ryan Little (Jamie); sisters-in-law Lindsey Davison (Robert) and Kayla Carson (Matt); nieces and nephews Tristen Fisher, Avery Little,Bobby Davison, Emma Davison, Ellie Davison, and Baby Carson; extended family, and many loyal friends that stuck by him to the end.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles Ben Butler, Virginia “Gini” Miracle (Roscoe), Eugene Schindler, and Mary Schindler-Snyder (Bill); and mother-in-law Kelly Little.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, November 12 from 5 to 9 PM at George’s Neighborhood Grill, 6935 Lake Plaza Drive, Indianapolis. Please wear your Cubs, Bears, or IU attire to honor his love of sports.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to his wife Lauren Schindler c/o Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. A fund is being established at IU Health to support local patients with care and support for brain cancer research, medications, and supplies.
