Jaime J. Alamillo, 81, of Camby, Indiana passed away February 9, 2019. He was born August 1, 1937 in Durango, Mexico to Esperanza Camarillo; he was one of four siblings. He came to the United States in the 1950s with his family. They move to California where he worked for San Jose Steel Company for many years. He began his career with Ford Motor Company on July 24, 1967. He retired after 40 years of being a journeyman welder; he was very active in the UAW Local 1111. He met the love of his life, Juanita Hernandez, at a picnic. The two were married in 1978 and spent 40 beautiful years together raising their children and building a life. Jaime was a prankster who loved boxing and football, especially the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed baseball, particularly the LA Dodgers and Oakland A's. Friends knew him as "The Shark" and "Big L"; he was always the life of the party. Jaime enjoyed good tequila, having a good time, and especially spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by those who were lucky enough to meet him. He is survived by loving wife of 40 years, Juanita; mother; Esperanza; children, Erik Alamillo and Richard (Amanda) Alamillo; grandchildren, Anthony, Isobel, Nicolai, Dominic, and Isis; as well as a host of extended family members and friends. All are welcome to visit, Saturday, February 16th from 1-2 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46221. A memorial service will take place at 2 PM at the funeral home.
