Jacqueline Jackie- Alice (Bartlett) Kalsbeck

January 17, 1932 — March 19, 2017

On March 19, 2017, Jacqueline Bartlett Kalsbeck passed away, joining her beloved husband, John. Known by her family and friends as a strong and fiery matriarch, Jackie was spirited, loving, and generous in sharing her time and talents with others.
Born January 17, 1932 to Nedra and Claude Bartlett, Jackie completed training as a Registered Nurse at Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, MI. She worked as a surgical scrub nurse in Michigan and at London’s National Hospital – Queens Square. She maintained her nursing license, which she used to volunteer as a nurse at her children's schools and summer church camp.
Jackie volunteered extensively, helping to lead numerous organizations including John Knox Presbyterian Church, as a teacher and an Elder; the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, as the mayor’s appointee to the Symphony Board of Directors, and as a past president of the West Group of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Association. She was a president of the Marion County Medical Society Auxiliary, the Indiana State Medical Auxiliary, and People of Vision. She also volunteered with the Pike Township PTA and the Park Tudor House and Garden Tour.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday April 03, 2017 at John Knox Presbyterian Church at 1 pm. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall Following the service.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, John, and is survived by her brother, Gerald Bartlett, sister, Janice Boden, and brother, Jim Bartlett; by her children, Valerie (Dr. John) Pfaff, Dr. William Kalsbeck, and Lisa (fiancé Retired Major General George Patrick) Kalsbeck; her grandchildren, Adam (Brittany) Pfaff, Gregory Pfaff; and her twin great-grandchildren, Grayson and Avery Pfaff.
The family is thankful to Greg Hart for his generous friendship and care for Jackie and John over the past several months.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jacqueline Kalsbeck’s memory to Riley Children’s Foundation or the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.Online condolences and a video tribute may be viewed at www.flannerbuchanan.com Inurnment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
