Jackson Walter Jones of Fortville died on December 3, 2020 at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 28, 1934 in Martin County, Indiana to the late Frank and May Jones.
He served his country in the United States Army. He spent his career at Chrysler as a tool and die maker and was a member of the UAW.
An avid bridge player, he was a member of the Indianapolis Bridge Club. He also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews Jeanne Harris, Sandra McKnight (Tom), Virginia DeWeese (Rick), Deborah Browning, Jeff Jones, and Stanley Jones; and special neighbor he considered like a granddaughter Katie Kitterman.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dolores Jones; and siblings Floyd Jones, Olive Wininger, Helen Brown, Jean Chestnut, Lloyd Jones, and Leo Jones.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 11 from 10-11 AM with Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM in Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
