Jackson Parks Roberts

Jackson Parks Roberts, 18, Carmel, Indiana, passed away January 4, 2018.  He was born June 17, 1999, in Indianapolis, the son of James A. Roberts and Robin R. (Ratcliff) Roberts.

Jackson was a senior at Carmel High School.  He had already received acceptance letters from Indiana University and Ball State University, but was anxiously awaiting on his Purdue University acceptance before making his final decision on where to attend college.  He enjoyed computers and gaming, and he loved spending time with his family and beloved canine companion, Sandy.

He is survived by his mother, Robin Roberts; father, Jim (Jo Ellen) Roberts; sister, Madison Leigh Roberts; brother, Jacob Allen Roberts; two step-brothers, Blake Donnar and Hayden Donnar; maternal grandmother, Janet K. Ratcliff; paternal grandmother, Anita Drake; maternal grandfather, Albert Parks (Judy Birge) Ratcliff; uncle, Jeffrey Parks (Michelle) Ratcliff; cousin, Ethan Parks Ratcliff; and many other extended and beloved family members.  He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandfather, Leslie C. Roberts.

Jackson will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.  He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson, and friend. Although his life on this earth was all too short at 18 years, the lasting impact of his love and friendship will forever live on with all who were fortunate to know him. There really are not enough words to describe Jackson and what he meant to everyone, but to know Jackson was to love him, and in return he loved unconditionally and with a pure heart.

In correlation to Jackson’s generous and giving nature, he chose to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jackson may be directed to the Hamilton County Humane Society, or the American Heart Association.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
