Jackalene Traylor Pitts

Jackalene Traylor Pitts, 84, of Rushville, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. She was born on March 14, 1932 in Topmost, KY to the late Emery and Dolly (Griffith) Hunter. Jackalene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rushville and enjoyed bowling, vegetable gardening and playing cards any chance she had. She was most proud of being a wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Dale Pitts; daughters, Barbara Caudill, Joann (Ron) Carr, Tereasa (Glen) Murphy; step-sons, Dale (Cindy) Pitts, Jr. and Carl (Kim) Pitts; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jackalene is also survived by siblings, Clovis, Noah, Lillie Mae, Dori, Jackie Darrell, Holley, Alice, Columbus, Janie and Sally. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Paul Traylor; siblings, Lewis, Marie, Maudie, Kermit and Emma Gene. Visitation for Mrs. Pitts will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
