Jackie (Jack) Webb, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2025, with family at his side. Born on July 22nd, 1937, Jack was a man of humor, tenderness, and boundless love who touched the lives of everyone he met.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruby Arthur Ferrell, his grandparents, Mark and Bertha Arthur, and his infant grandson, Jack Mitchell Jones. He is survived by his sweetheart and devoted wife of 69 years, Mary Denzio Webb, whose love and dedication was the cornerstone of his life. He also leaves behind his cherished children, Mark Webb (Robert), Randy Webb, and Vickki Webb Jones (Craig), as well as his grandchildren, Allisa Webb Trimmell, Kyle Jones (Abbey), and Eric Jones who brought him immense pride and joy. Jack's legacy continues in his great grandchildren, Lauryn Craft, Sophia Trimmell, and Leo Jones, who adored their Papaw's playful spirit. Jack is also a brother-in-law, uncle, and cousin. All of whom remember his quick wit and laughter, always creating fun family memories.
Jack was a decorated Air Force veteran serving from 1955 to 1977. He honorably served his country with distinction during the Vietnam War. Jack earned many decorations for his bravery, courage, and dedication, which were a testament to his character and values.
Beyond his military service, Jack attended Ivy Tech College, earning his degree and later working for Emro marketing and United Oil as a district supervisor.
Jack was known for his kindness, tender heart, and ability to bring laughter to any room. Whether sharing a joke, a funny song or story, or just lending a helping hand, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jack's unwavering devotion to his family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
A service to honor and celebrate Jack's life will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan - Memorial Park, 9350 E Washington Street Indianapolis IN 46229. The family will receive visitors at 12 PM, followed by a military honored service at 2 PM.
