Jack M. Pomeroy, 91, passed away on July 5, 2022. He was born on June 28, 1931 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Harold and Nellie Pomeroy. He moved to Indianapolis in 1937 where he graduated from Arsenal Technical High School before attending Butler University.

Jack was a Korean War Veteran, spending 15 months in Trieste, Italy within the Ordnance Corps. After his time in the Army, Jack attended the Parson School of Interior Design in New York City. Jack then began his career as an interior designer at L.S. Ayres. His eye for color and pattern combinations kept him traveling throughout the country, designing model apartments and homes for the Gene Glick Company and the Klingbeil Company then based in Columbus, Ohio.

Jack was a charter member of the American Institute of Interior Designers and a devout member of the Unity Church of Indianapolis. His hobby of travel took him to countless countries all over the world!

Jack lived an extremely classy and wonderful life, full of glamour and travel. He is survived by Rick and Colleen Fonseca, their three children Rico Fonseca (Carmen), Rosa (Fonseca) LeBeau (Scott), and Richie Fonseca as well as four grandchildren Esabella and Arianna Fonseca, and Cruz and Tyson LeBeau.

A gathering will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. A short service will begin at 5:00 pm. Carrying on Jack’s tradition of hosting a classic cocktail hour, complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided as we celebrate our many memories of Jack Pomeroy.
