Jack J. Phegley, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away July 6, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by love.
Jack retired in 1994 as a Research Administrator for IU Medical Center. He was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church, where he enjoyed Bible Study and serving his community. His passion for giving and spreading kindness went beyond the walls of the church. He often volunteered at the Ronald McDonald house with his loving wife Mary. He enjoyed a leisurely round of golf and worked part-time for ADE Car Auctions. In his younger years, he served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary E. Phegley. He is survived by his son, Randy Phegley; daughter, Christy Phegley; grandchildren: Dan (Ellen) Phegley, Mitch Phegley, Jackie Halpern, and Caroline Goodwin; and his great-grandchildren: Isabel and Benjamin Phegley and Journey Goodwin.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Indian Creek Christian Church, 6430 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral Service will follow visitation at the church at 11:00am. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, Rensselaer.
