Jack E. Sutton

Jack E Sutton, 80, of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 2, 2020. He was born on September 22, 1939 to the late William and Florence Sutton.

After completing high school at Arsenal Tech, Jack went on to honorably serve in the United States Army. After his service he went on to dedicate 32 years to Indiana Power and Light where he was a supervisor.  In 1963 he was severly injured while working on a power line.  He met the love of his life, a nurse, Sharon Hawks, while he was hospitalized.  Jack and Sharon were married in 1965. Jack came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and was a very active member of what was Castleview Baptist church for over 40 years. Jack enjoyed working on projects and being outdoors.  After retirement, he loved to travel with his wife and see the country.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sharon E. Sutton(Hawks); son, Brent (Jodi) Sutton, daughter Beth Sutton. Grandchildren Bryce Sutton, Sophia Sutton, Joshua Hughey. Many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.  He was affectionately referred to as mean ol uncle Jack.

He is preceded in death by brother Jimmy MacDonald, sisters Lucy Wallsmith, Margie Caylor, Jeanne Unger
