Jack A. Freund

Jack A. Freund, 88, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 29, 2021. He was born April 10, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late August and Ethel Freund. Jack was a retired Truck Driver for Renner’s Express after 38 years and went on to start Freund Trucking after his retirement. He served in the U S Marine Corp during the Korean War. Jack is described as a strong family man who enjoyed watching all types of sports, enjoyed fishing, and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years, Katherine (Phillips) Freund, his children Sherry (Tom) Harmon, Augie (Julie) Freund, George (Robin) Freund, twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, his sister Jan Stiles, Judy Briley and his brothers George Freund and Jerry Freund. Besides Jack’s parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Lee Ann Johnson, his son Jack Freund, a grandchild, and his sisters Jean and Joann. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 2 PM at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there from 12:00 PM until the service time. Jack will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, IN.
