J.B. Watson, 86, of Indianapolis went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 13, 2020. He was born on April 17, 1934 in Worley, Kentucky to the late Burton and Genova Watson.
He was a devoted husband to his precious wife, Joyce of 68 years, who was his childhood sweetheart. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1951, where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. After his discharge from the military, he moved his young family to Indianapolis where he was employed with McQuay Norris for 12 years before retiring from Ford Motor Company after almost 29 years. J.B.’s favorite hobby was fishing with his son-in-law, Frank Powell. He loved the outdoors and in recent days found great joy sitting on the deck of the home he shared with his wife Joyce, his daughter, Marcia and son-in-law, Larry. He could spend hours sitting there watching birds around the pond.
J.B. was blessed with a large and loving family. From the very beginning, he dedicated his life to God and taught his family about Jesus. His quick wit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed.
J.B. is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joyce Watson; his beloved children, Lannie Watson, Carol Powell, Nila Brooks (Lynn), Marcia Graves (Larry), Russell Watson; his grandchildren, Annie Snyder (Brandon), Stephanie Trosvig (Danny), Robert O’Dell (Brandie), Phil Brooks (Shannon), Stacie Sheffield (Ed), Ryan Graves (Casey), Kristen Madren (Zach), Kayla Baldonado (TJ), Lindsay Watson, Kelsey Madren (Josh), Joshua Watson; his great-grandchildren, Darianne Snyder, Ashley Ford, Kinley O’Dell, Hannah Rife, Kaysie Crumpton, Courtney Hargett, Madison Brooks, Landon Brooks, McKenna Sheffield, Braylon Sheffield, Kaden Sheffield, Raine George, Ryan Lewis, MyKenzie Madren, Khloe Madren, Landon Madren, Lily Madren; his great, great-grandchildren, Akiiya, Lyric and Frankie Ford, Zaiden and Zandon Rife.
