Irma N. Embry

Irma Nellie Haley Embry, widow of William David Embry, is survived by her daughter, Stacy Lynn Embry, having been preceded in death in 1979 by her eldest daughter, April Pona Embry. Daughter of Janet Stephens Mattingly Haley Russe and Joseph Frank Haley, Irma has one surviving sister, Mrs. Laurel Eileen Mattingly Monroe, having been predeceased by her sister, Norma Jean Mattingly Copas, and brother, Gerald Howard Mattingly.

Irma was a talented artist, craftswoman, storyteller and life of any group being simply known as Auntie to everyone she could possibly claim. Long retired, she was a former fine jewelry expert and Activity Director.

She asks to be remembered with joy and instead of memorial donations, she requests prayers to uplift her beloved daughter Stacy. Also, Irma asks God’s blessing on the life of those reading today of her passing.

Irma’s party will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 8 at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis.
