Irene Clementine Davis

Irene Clementine Davis, 82, of Indianapolis Indiana passed away on February 8, 2021. She was born on October 4, 1938 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Arlen and Dorothy Newman.

After completing high school, she began work at 16 years old with Indiana Bell Telecommunications and worked as a telephone operator for 35 years until her retirement. Beyond her work, she loved to spend time with her family and was an excellent seamstress. She was known to hem clothes for the cost of thread and also successfully tailored full suites for her beloved husband.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas E. Davis; son, Rick Davis; daughter-in-law Lori; and 2 grandchildren.

Services will be held privately with interment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
