Ileana Long

Ileana Long 96, currently of Mooresville, Indiana went home to heaven on February 25, 2023. Ileana was born on Christmas Eve, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William and Mazie (Daugherty) Hay. She married her childhood sweetheart, Raymond Long on October 25, 1942, and he preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Long, Jack Long, a granddaughter, Laura Long, and her sister, Mary Cline. Ileana is survived by her son, Joseph Long, her daughter, Kathy deJong, her son-in-law, John deJong, her grandchildren, Malorie (Dustin) Doty, Michael (Haley) deJong, Gregory (Heather) deJong, her great grandsons, Sawyer, Beckett, Lachlan Doty and her sisters, Helen Dodson, and Lola Crafton. Ileana was a long-time member of Crosspointe Baptist Church where she was a faithful witness and soul winner for Jesus for many years. May she rest in peace knowing she is forever loved. A million thanks to all the girls who loved and cared for her for so long in the Cottage at Meadow Lakes. A private graveside service will be held at Floral Park Cemetery and there will be no visitation. Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township is honored to serve the Long Family with these arrangements.
