Ida Blanche Bottema-Puckett

93, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018. Ida was born on July 3, 1925 in Shelby County, Indiana as the daughter of Cline and Leona Allen.

In Ida’s spare time she loved to play cards and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was a member of the Red Hatters, the Shrine Guild, and the Continental Dance Club. Ida was known as a very strong, caring, and loving person. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Raymond C. Bottema; second husband, Allen Puckett; daughter, Gertrude Bottema; son-in-law, Wayne Riddle; and brother Gordan Allen.

She is survived by her daughters: Christina (Roger) Johanningsmeier, Ra Jeanne (Ralph) Gossman, Karen Riddle; grandchildren: Ryan Johanningsmeier, Kari Preston, Jeff (Kate) Johanningsmeier, Brad (Kara) Riddle, Eric Riddle, Laurel Gossman, Craig Gossman; and great grandchildren: Claire Preston, Grant Preston, Hannah Johanningsmeier, Noah Johanningsmeier, Abby Riddle, and Audrey Riddle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5th from 10am-12noon at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
