Howard Mcclard Jr.

Howard McClard Jr. passed away on June 27, 2022 at the age of 92.  Howard was born in Hartsille, TN on September 1, 1929 to parents, Howard and Lela (Gammons) McClard.  Howard served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He retired from Ford Motor Company after 25 years, where he worked as a Job Setter.

Howard loved the outdoors.  He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Howard also enjoyed NASCAR and Indy Car racing, and dancing in his youth.

Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen (Sircy) McClard; daughters, Tina Moore and Helen Charlene McClard; and siblings, Earline England, Everett McClard, Lorine Woodard, Thomas McClard, Bobby McClard and Billy McClard.

Howard is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Taylor) McClard; children: Katherine Russell, Ricky McClard (Cheryl), Florence Susan Kemp, and Grace Eades (Brian); step-daughters, Pam Weever and Mona Braden; grandchildren: Melissa Thrash, Richard McClard, Donald Kemp, Benjamin Kemp, Jeffrey Eades, Jennifer McKay, Amanda McClard, Alisha LaFond, Vincent McClard and Virginia McClard; step-granddaughters, Samantha Amsler and Serena Braden; as well as several great-grandchildren, extended family members and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 10am until 2pm, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park (9350 E. Washington Street, Indpls), where funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 2pm.  Burial will follow services in Memorial Park Cemetery.
