Howard Earl Teagarden born in Hutchinson, Kansas on April 03, 1923, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 31, 2017. Howard graduated from Kansas State University, where he also met his future wife Mina. They were married for 66 years. Following graduation, Howard served as an Army Captain in WWII. After his discharge from service, he moved with his wife and son, John, to Kankakee, IL to work for General Foods. Following the birth of his second son, Peter, the family moved to Indianapolis in 1950 where he took a job as a milling engineer with Acme Evans. Later, he was hired as a plant engineer for Link Belt Corporation; where he worked until he retired in December of 1982. After retiring he relished opportunities to serve and volunteer in his community and spend time with his family. Howard is preceded in death by his sister Christine and wife Mina. He is survived by his sons; Jack (wife Joanna) and Pete; grandchildren; John, Judi, Ken, Lora and Katie and great grandchildren; Jordan, Brandon, Cameron and a great great grandson; Jonah. A celebration of life for Howard will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Speedway United Methodist Church at 11 am with calling one hour prior to the service. Refreshments to follow.
