Howard Earl Miley Jr.

Howard Earl Miley Jr., a resident of Shelby Twp., passed away at home on November 1, 2019 at the age of 73. He was born to his parents Howard Earl and Mabel Edith (maiden name: Snider) Miley on February 3, 1946 in Vincennes, Indiana.

Howard later married the love of his life Deborah on February 22, 1975 in Indianapolis, Indiana. They have since enjoyed 44 years of marriage together. Howard and Deborah moved their family to Michigan, where he worked at Chrysler for 43 years before retiring in 2007.

In his free time, Howard liked visiting garage sales and flea markets and watching tv, particularly American Pickers and Storage Wars. He also loved cars. But most of all, Howard loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren! He was a good man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Howard is survived by his loving wife Deborah Miley; children Howard Lee Miley, Kathy Ann (Mark) Strykowski, Shawn Ann Markus, Sherry Kay Moore, Cynthia Marie (Adam Robert Vrabel) Miley-Vrabel, and Johnathan Michael Miley; grandchildren Angela Michelle Miley, Taylor Elizabeth Combs, Eric Alexander Combs, Brittany Nicole McRae, Jessica Marie Markus, Parker Jamison Bubenheim, Donovan J. Luder, Cecilia Miley Vrabel, and Bennett Miley Vrabel; and great-grandchildren Jaxton Roman Vasquez, Lillian Jane McRae, and Carter Wilson Smith ; and sister Judith Brown, and her husband James Brown.

He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mabel, and sister Dixie Lee Boles.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Gramer Funeral Home Diener Chapel, 48271 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Twp., MI 48317. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16th, at 11:00am, at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, with entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
