In Memory of Mr. Houston (Huston) L. Balance
Mr. Houston (Huston) Lee Balance passed away after a long illness on April 15, 2024, at the age of 89 years old. Houston was born in Russellville Kentucky to the late Huston L. Balance and Mary T. Forte.
Houston went to elementary school in Logan County, then later moved to Warren County where he graduated from High Street High School in 1952. He loved sports and even played football.
He later moved to Buffalo, New York after graduation where he became an entrepreneur. He later worked at the H.F.C Refreshments until his retirement.
Mr. Balance enjoyed golf, hockey, and traveling to Canada, but his most important trip was to visit his mother in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indianapolis is where he met the love of his life, Doritha. They shared 16 years of love together until his health fell, and she preceded him in death.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Huston L. Balance, and Mary T. Forte; wife, Doritha (Mason) Balance; Sister, Sarah Jobe; Daughter, Dorothy Hudson; and two grandsons, Tyrone Balance Jr., and Quincy Balance.
He leaves to cherish; Two Sons; Tyrone (Aiesha) Balance Sr., and Darryl (Antionette) Balance; Two Daughters, Carmen R. Balance and Pastor Stephanie (Gairreus) Williams; 12 Grandchildren; Five Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great-Grandchild.
