Henry Washington

Henry Washington, 64, of Carmel, IN passed away on December 18, 2020.  Henry was born in Jackson, MS on January 29, 1956 to parents, Farish James and Mattie Lee (Young) Washington.  He graduated from Forest Hill High School and attended classes at Hinds Jr. College in Raymond, MS.  During his career, Henry owned an upholstery business.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family and playing pool.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Farish and Mattie, his brother Robert Washington and sister Anne Pearl Washington.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Constance Woodson; former wife, Shirley Washington, and their children: Tiffanie Merriman (husband, Doug Merriman), Torrey R. Washington (wife, Marissa Washington); stepchildren: Rochelle McGee and Elaine Davis; grandchildren: Cameron Holcomb, Makenzie Holcomb, Maisy Holcomb, Marley Merriman, Madison Merriman, Anthony Merriman, Adalee Washington, Preston Washington, Darius French, Dorian French, Tyler Glenn, Imani Woodson, Daya Davis, Jeryn McGee; siblings: Willie Washington, Eloise Washington, Pearline Washington, Ladora Washington, Roger Washington, Juliet Carrol, Bettye Trip; and many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel.  Funeral services will be held privately immediately following the visitation beginning at 1pm.  Entombment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In accordance with Indiana state regulations, all guests must wear a facial covering and follow social distancing guidelines.  At this time, visitations and gatherings in Hamilton County are limited to 50.
