Henry C. (Hank) Wright of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2023 at The Barrington of Carmel. Henry was 93, born on September 17, 1929, in Brattleboro Vermont to the late Edward Sherman Wright and the late Edith Cutting Wright.

Henry graduated from Brattleboro High School in 1947 and Bentley College in Boston, Massachusetts. Henry was a veteran of the Korean War honorably serving with the Army Security Agency in Japan and Korea from 1951-1953. Following his military service in 1953, he was employed in the financial division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Following assignments in Boston and Philadelphia, he transferred to New Castle, Pennsylvania where he was named Division Accountant for the Central Division of Liberty Mutual.

Henry joined Eli Lilly and Company in 1956, moved to Indianapolis and held various assignments in the Financial Division.  After thirty-four years at Lilly, Henry retired from Lilly as the Coordinator of Employee Real Estate where he assisted in the administration of the company real estate program for transferred employees. Henry was the company representative with the Employee Relocation Council, a national association of approximately 10,000 members, including corporate representatives, real estate brokers, real estate appraisers, mortgage company representatives, moving companies and others involved in the relocation of transferred corporate employees. Henry was elected to the Board of Directors of this organizations for a 3-year term in 1986.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife Mona L. Wright (2007) and brothers Clifton D. Wright of Farmington NH (2021) and Sherman C. Wright (1990).

Survivors include his son David S. (Margaret) Wright of Noblesville, his daughter Carolyn A. Wright of Indianapolis, his grandson Jackson D. Wright of Noblesville and Judi Souder of Indianapolis.

In accordance to his wishes there will be no visitation hours.
