Helen Salmon Schroeder, 86 of Carmel, passed peacefully into life eternal on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Helen was born August 14, 1932 in Grenada, MS to the late John T. and Helen Salmon.
Helen was a homemaker, a beloved wife, mother and Nana. She was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church and the PEO Sisterhood. She served Young Life of Lawrence Township in various capacities while her children were in high school and college. Helen also enjoyed Second Presbyterian Church’s Women’s Wednesday Bible study and biannual Bazaar sales.
A memorial service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 17 at 2:00 pm in the Milner Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 pm until the time of the service in the Church Parlor.
Helen was the widow of Harry L. Schroeder. She is survived by her children, Kathy (husband, Randy) Clark and John (wife, Virginia) Schroeder; grandchildren, Sarah Clark and Drew Clark. She was preceded in death by her brother, William W. (Virginia) Salmon.
Helen’s family wishes to thank all the amazing caregivers who walked alongside us throughout the last 11 years, most recently Sunrise on Old Meridian. We are also so grateful to Great Lakes Hospice for grace filled and gentle care.
