Helen Mary Braun, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away November 6, 2018. She was born in Massachusetts on July 18, 1929 to the late John and Mary Raswodowskas. After high school, Helen went on to marry her beloved husband, the late Cleo George Braun. She stayed at home to raise their four girls, but also worked for a time at Indianapolis Public School #103 in the lunch room.
Helen was a very active part of her church, Cornerstone Baptist Church for many years.
Helen is survived by her four loving daughters Melanie (Ed) Herron, Leslie (Phil) Young, Andrea Braun, and Sue (Steve) Dyer; grandchildren, Christopher Herron, Andrea (Jordan) Williams, Nick (Cindy) Dyer, Leslie Dyer, Julie (Jeff) Hackler, Lisa Neligh, Laura Grable; great-grandchildren, Owen, Ella, and Robbie Williams, Carly and Tate Hackler, Danielle Schmidt, Alex Neligh, Zach Neligh, Noah and Emma Grable; great-great grandchildren, Jaxon and Shane Schmidt.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Braun; stepson, Jerry Braun; and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church at 10701 E 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46235.
Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East on Thursday, November 8th from 4-8PM. Funeral services will be held the following day, Friday, November 9th at 11AM. Helen will be laid to rest at Washington Park North Cemetery.
