Helen Craig,
103, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 25, 2016. She was born on November 15, 1913 to the late Luitgard and August Zimmerman. She was the wife of the late James Craig. Helen gained her Beauticians License in 1935 and had been the manager of Crown Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Glendale Mall. Helen was a lifelong dance enthusiast and when she retired at 62 she became more active in social, ballroom, polka and square dancing. In 1979 she was excited and proud to win first place and MVP at the Senior Olympics for ballroom dance. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over sixty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; daughters, Phyllis and Margie; grandchildren, Mark and Jennifer and granddaughter-in-law, Diedre. She is survived by her children, Carolyn, Bob and Jan (Herb); son-in-law, Siegfried grandchildren, Chris, Mindy, Dana and Elaine; great-grandchildren, Megan, Rebekah, Adam, Erik, Chelsea, Curt, Jackson, Gavin, Khiran, Ellie, Cory, Jacob and Kaitlyn; great great-grandchildren, Chloe, James, Jacob and soon to be born Emma Rose. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. Services will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
