Harry C. Dorsett

Harry C. Dorsett, 98, of Indianapolis passed away September 12, 2017. He was born August 26, 1919 in Michigan City, Indiana.

Harry was the oldest living member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the VFW Post 6606. Harry worshiped at Buffalo Christian Church. In 1969, Harry donated his kidney to his daughter, Donna Morris. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. These two acts demonstrates how selfless Harry was.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Dorsett; his children, Donna Morris and Gary Dorsett; his parents, Floyd and Leona Dorsett; and his brothers, Marion and Robert “Bob”.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Sherrie Crain (Mark), Penny Dorsett; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10AM. Calling hours will be held the evening prior, Monday, September 18, 2017 from 4-8PM.
