Harold W. Harrington

Noblesville, IN – Harold W. Harrington, 92, Noblesville IN left this earth peacefully after a brief illness.  Harold was known for his smile, sense of humor and positive attitude.  He made friends easily and treated every person with polite respect and dignity.  Harold always looked at the bright side of life!

Harold was born January 31, 1925 in Wagner, South Dakota to David and Ida (Whetham) Harrington.  Harold was a World War II veteran (US Army), part of the Big Red One, and landed on Omaha Beach on D Day.  Harold was also a 4^th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  Harold worked as an Iron Worker and retired from the Bendix Corporation.

In his later years, Harold had the great fortune to become involved with the Indy Honor Flight.  Harold treasured the very special people he met and the close friendships that ensued.  This was truly a life changing experience for him.

Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise M. (Tschida) Harrington, and is survived by his brother, Gerald (Tub) Harrington, his daughters, Sandra (Don) Huyvaert of South Bend, IN and Pam (Doug) Niccum of Carmel, IN, four grandchildren, Jason (Nicol) Huyvaert of Watertown South Dakota, Stacy (Marc) Bogard of South Bend, Jaime Huyvaert of South Bend, Nikki (Kevin) Coquillard of Niles Michigan, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Spring Mill Road.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel 325 E.
