Hannelore Binkert Killion, born in Bremen, Germany on June 16, 1926 passed away January 29, 2025. Married on May 31, 1947 to David Killion, they celebrated 55 years together before his death in 2002. She bowled in two leagues into her early 90s and walked her dogs daily in her Lawrence neighborhood, and before she became vision-impaired, she knitted dozens of pairs of socks for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Mazzoni (John), Vicki Killion, Cynthia Booth, and Kerrie Boarman; grandchildren Peter Mazzoni (Sherri), Christine Mazzoni, Caleb Booth (Kennedy), and Alex Booth; great-grandchildren Ethan Mazzoni and Cole Mazzoni; her half-sister Bernhild Quintero and her family; and her step-daughter Patricia Edris and her family. Her niece, Carol Killion Hubert, was a special comfort to her and her daughters in her final months. The “grand-dogs” (Charlie, Winnie, Butch, Mickey, Nico, and Frankie) were always happy to see her. We appreciate the loving care she received in her final months from Shelli, Kelli, and Angela from Paradigm Hospice.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Child Advocates, 8200 Haverstick Road, Suite 240, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
