Guy Ellsworth Cantwell

Guy Ellsworth Cantwell of Indianapolis passed away May 4, 2021 at the age of 79.

He was born on June 14, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Guy “Bud” Hight Cantwell and Margaret J. (nee Barber) Cantwell.  He graduated from Broad Ripple High School after only attending three years.  He went on to attend Purdue University where he graduated with an Engineering Degree.  He served as a Pilot in the Air National Guard 181st Tactical Fighter Group from 1963-1969. A man of great intellect he started at Fink Roberts and Petrie in 1965 and moved up to CEO upon his retirement in 1992.

A collector of classic cars, he was a member of the Milestone Car Society and the Lincoln Club.  He collected trains and model cars, even designing his own.  He loved his dogs and had a heart for animals.

He is survived by his children Deborah L. Cantwell and Bryan Cantwell (Debra) and former wife Linda L. Cantwell.

He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Cantwell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 11 from 5-7 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 7 PM in Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis.
