Gus A Pappas

Gus Pappas passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Born on July 24, 1944 in Silimna, a beautiful village outside of Tripoli, Greece, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1958 and married Cathy Bosinakis in 1970.

He was a devoted husband, dear brother to JoAnn (Robert) Kozonis, adored uncle to Loukas (Megan) Kozonis, Faye Kozonis, and Angelo (Alana) Kozonis, and loving cousin and dear friend to many.

Gus was administrator of Weights & Measures for the city of Indianapolis, Indiana. After retiring, he split his time between Indianapolis and Tripoli, Greece. He lived a beautiful life driven by faith. He loved visiting churches and monasteries in the United States and especially in Greece. Deeply religious, he placed his faith in God and prayer.

Gus will be taken to Greece for burial. A funeral service will be held at Evangelistra Church in Silimna and interment will be at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Tripoli.
